Testing_112 : PMP (Project Management Plan)

Project Management Plan :

"The Project Manager creates the Project Plan for Project."

Purpose : To manage the project.
  • Project planning is most time consuming project management activity.
  • Continuous activity from initial concept through the system delivery. Plans must be regularly revised as new information become available.
  • Various different types of plans (Test plans, Development plans, SQA plans and SCM plans) maybe developed to support the main software project plan that is concerned with schedule and budget.
  • The project manager creates the project management plan based on following input documents.
Entry Criteria to prepare PMP :
  • RFP(request of proposal)
  • SOW(statement of work) or Work order
  • project plan template
Exit Criteria to prepare PMP :
  • Project plan should be reviewed & approved. Once PMP is approved, configuration controller will create baseline for PMP (PMP 1.0v) and he will update same in configuration repository (fireserver or VSS).

  • Data management
